Jasper-Yellowhead Museum Exhibitions

The Jasper Museum Exhibitions feature exhibits which are culturally and historically significant to the Jasper and Yellowhead corridor area and change several times a year.

Jasper Historic
Exhibition Gallery

Our permanent Historic Exhibition Gallery (1100 sq. ft.) was renamed the Fred Kofin Historical Gallery in 2010 in honour of our longest serving JYHS Treasurer.
Among the displays are exhibits on the fur trade, the railway, and early exploration and tourism in Jasper National Park. Among our featured artefacts is Curly Phillips’ canoe, the ice axe from Mt. Alberta, and David Thompson’s musket balls recovered from Athabasca Pass.

Jasper Showcase
Exhibition

Our Showcase Gallery (750 sq ft) exhibits change throughout the year. Some of our past summer exhibits include Outfitters and Guides of the Glittering Mountains, Bears in the Alley and David Thompson 200 Years Later. During the rest of the year we feature exhibits by local artisans and photographers, travelling historical exhibits and special displays like our ever popular Festival of Trees.
