Jasper-Yellowhead Museum and Archives

The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum & Archives is dedicated to collect, preserve and make available for research and exhibition documents and artefacts which illustrate the human history of Jasper National Park and the Yellowhead Corridor.

The Archives’ holdings include: a library of historic books, periodicals and pamphlets pertaining to the human and natural history of the region and more than 20 metres of manuscripts, personal and business papers, diaries and memoirs. The archives has thousands of negatives, prints, albums and transparencies.

Research & Donations

The Jasper-Yellowhead Archives welcomes inquiries by telephone and e-mail but if you would like to do research in person, please contact us in advance to make an appointment. Many of our photographs have been digitized and can be purchased in .jpg or .tiff format.

The Archives is open to the public by appointment in the basement of the Jasper-Yellowhead Museum at 400 Bonhomme Street, Jasper, Alberta.
